FALLS CREEK
The ski resort of Falls Creek is a pretty year-round alpine village, with downhill and cross-country skiing and snowboarding in winter, and bushwalking, trail riding, fishing, cycling, windsurfing and boating in summer. Falls Creek has a vibrant dining scene, with great restaurants and cafés and lots of accommodation options. If you’re visiting during summer, the drive through to Omeo (35 kilometres of unsealed road) is a must-do.

MOUNT HOTHAM
A skier’s paradise. With more natural snowfalls than any other Victorian mountain, people flock from around the world to Mount Hotham for their ski holiday every year. In summer, Mount Hotham is best known for its mountain biking, bushwalking, fly fishing and touring the Great Alpine Road. There’s a spectacular walk from Mount Hotham to Mount Feathertop if you’re fit, or take a ride or walk to nearby Dinner Plain. Mount Hotham was named after Governor Hotham by Baron Ferdinand von Mueller, who explored it in 1854.

DINNER PLAIN
Dinner Plain Village is situated 11 kilometres from Mount Hotham. Set among the snow gums, the architecture of Dinner Plain is reminiscent of the High Country cattlemen’s huts. Open all year round, Dinner Plain features an extensive choice of accommodation, cafés, restaurants and bars. Relax by the fireside, explore the bush trails or spoil yourself at the Onsen Retreat and Spa.
