Nestled between Mount Beauty and Falls Creek, Bogong village is hidden in a peaceful valley surrounded by magnificent gardens. Once the main village for the hydro electricity workers of the 1940s, it is now used as a base for the brand new Bogong Power Station, which was completed in 2009. The faclity offers power station access for visitors as well as a full visitor centre. Situated on the edge of Lake Guy, Bogong Village is a summer favourite for canoeing, fishing and swimming, bushwalking, tennis and horse riding. There are excellent barbecue and picnic facilities overlooking Lake Guy and the East Kiewa River. In winter, the village is popular with skiers and snowboarders.
